Mark Sullivan has spent his entire career in franchise/real estate development. After a career on the move from Washington, DC to Houston, Texas, he chose to open the first Blues Boulevard Jazz club (a soon-to-be franchise concept) in his hometown of Spartanburg. Mark Sullivan serves on the SDA Board of Directors.
Blues Boulevard Jazz offers a variety of opportunities to enjoy live music in Spartanburg. Each night comes with it's own special brand of entertainment.
Beginning June 28, Mondays at Blues Boulevard will become "Alternative Monday" offering a variety of music including country, rock and R&B, and other styles of entertainment such as poetry readings, book readings by authors, and occasional open mic opportunities - no cover charge.
Tuesdays are Salsa night with $5 martinis and mojitos and for $3 you can have salsa lessons up to 11:30 pm with instructors in a free-style atmosphere - no partners needed - just jump in and dance!
Wednesday nights are "Laid Back Wednesdays" with various blues artists providing live music - no cover charge.
Thursday nights are our "Jazz Jam Session" night - jazz and blues artists are welcome to come and sit in and jam with the house band - no cover charge.
Friday and Saturday nights offer live entertainment from artists from various parts of the country - no cover charge.
Sunday offers a Live Jazz Brunch from 10am to 4pm. Menu items include
eggs benedict - traditional or with crab cakes, shrimp & grits, assortments of eggs, bacon, breads, fruit and bottomless Mimosas - no cover charge.
Blues Boulevard focuses on charity by supporting local community charities
that focus on children by holding special functions on the last Tuesday of every month.
Blues Boulevard Jazz is preparing to franchise in different areas of the country so look for them if you're traveling or visiting other cities in the future.
