EK Perfumes is owned by Kathy McAlister and her daughter, Melony Honnycut,
of Houston, Texas. The store opened at Westgate Mall in May of 2009, and after
deciding a more upscale environment was more desirable, the shop made the
move to downtown this past June. Kathy has loved the atmosphere and support
of downtown. Anybody who speaks with her can tell she is eager to see downtown
grow, and you can not help but to catch her enthusiasm!
Kathy holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and specialized in working with children and families
for a number of years. She own and ran a boys home in Clinton, SC for 15 years.
After retiring, Kathy decided she wanted to do something that involved lots of smiles!
Kathy wants people to come in her shop and really find a fragrance that is suitable for
them. She is eager to work with you, and help you find your own signature scent.
EK Perfumes carries all name brands and various French perfumes. They do not carry
any watered-down imitations. Kathy is happy to order for you, if she does not currently
carry your fragrance. The perfumes at EK Perfumes range in price and are suitable
for any need.
EK Perfumes also features a wide selection of Murano glass jewelry, as well as hand designed flower arrangements. Kathy carries LED lighted flower stems that can be seen on display around her store.
