Morgan Square
Start the weekend early with your friends and coworkers in the heart of downtown. The square fills quickly with the sounds of jazz created by area musicians. This event provides a casual, intimate, park-like setting that winds up early enough for you to take in dinner at one of the many nearby restaurants.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Celebration

Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium
This celebration began more than a decade ago with just a small group of people gathered around City Hall's flagpole. The purpose was to reflect on the words and message of Dr. King's life. The celebration now hosts national speakers and over 3,000 participants.
Downtown Classic Criterium

Come see cyclists from all over the nation and the world compete in the Downtown Classic Criterium, an officially-sanctioned, half-mile bicycle course unique for its cobblestone start/finish line, open-air plaza center and dangerous sharp right turns.

Assault on Mt. Mitchell
